Miss Universe 2009 is finally here! The most classy of all pageants is here once again. I've always been fascinated with beautiful women strutting their stuff on the pageant stage. It's such a beauty to behold. The ladies are all glittering and oozing with star quality. It's art at its best.

Personally, I'm looking forward to the swimsuit and evening gown competition. That's probably my favorite segment of the entire Miss Universe pageant. Of course, the interview portion is also interesting. We get to see a glimpse of how beauty queens think. I'm always amused when I listen to the question and answer portion because in it I get to see the ladies think under pressure. It's the scariest position to be in. We all know it's very hard to answer intelligently while millions of people are listening in to every word you have to say right? If you don't have the confidence and quick thinking for this, you'll be so nervous you can't even think straight. It's interesting for me to see how the ladies will react under pressure. Will they maintain their composure long enough to string a few sensible words and sentences together? Or will they crumble under pressure and just blurt out unintelligible answers that are not even related to the question? Will they be able to walk out the stage looking elegant and glamorous without stumbling on their feet or tripping on their gowns? Will they handle themselves confidently and walk out there without a glitch?
